Mr. Inoue joined Ricoh Co., Ltd. in 1971, and was promoted to General Manager of Finance and Accounting in 1998. In 2000, he was appointed as President and Representative Director of Ricoh Leasing Co., Ltd. as well as Senior Vice President of Ricoh Co., Ltd. Mr. Inoue served as Managing Director of Ricoh Co., Ltd. in charge of finance solutions in 2004 and then President and Chief Executive Officer of Ricoh Leasing Co., Ltd. in 2005, stepping down from the latter position in 2009. After serving as a corporate auditor of Ricoh Co., Ltd. until 2013, he was appointed outside director (Audit & Supervisory Committee Member) at ANRITSU CORPORATION in 2015, outside corporate auditor at Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. in 2016, and outside corporate auditor at Kyowa Hakko Kirin Co., Ltd. in 2018. He also serves as a trustee of the Japan Investor Relations Association.
