BDTI’s Nicholas Benes at Tachibana High School

In December, BDTI's Nicholas Benes spoke about the theme of what is a corporation? – and what is corporate governance? to a group of students enrolled atTachibana High School's Commerce Department.

It seems to have been an eye-opening experience for some students. We received much feedback. Here are some examples of comments written by students:

So far, I never though much about what company should I work for? or what sort of company is a 'good' company? . After hearing today's discussion, I would like to think more about where I should work.
A company is not really a person or a thing, but is rather something that finds abalance foreverybody.
I was able to understand more about trust between people, and the merits and demerits of corporations. If things go in a good direction, I would be happy. There were a lot of aspects that are in common with my club activities, which seems useful.

The Board Director Training Institute (BDTI) is a "public interest" nonprofit in Japan dedicated to training about directorship, corporate governance, and related management techniques. It is certified by the Japanese government to conduct these activities as a regulated nonprofit.
