GMI Ratings’ Withering Analysis of Sony

Unfortunately, I have to say I agree with much of this excellent analysis by GMI Ratings. A 92 year-old man in charge of Strategy? Almost no one new to the board, most directors having joined in 2005-2010? Mr. Stringer hanging around as Chairman?

Just as GMI Ratings says, this seems to be a Sony DNA problem, not a committee-style company governance structure problem, which is how it is often positioned in the Japanese press. (E.g., Sony proves that the committee-style CG structure – which is the US model[no actually, itonly has parts of that model] is not a good one..)

Once upon a time, that DNA was so good….
