Dear Colleague:
Many thanks for your prompt and valuable reply.
I think it would be beneficial if a well-known Japanese Governance Professor would publish an article in the leading Japanese Business Newspaper to present international best practice examples of GNDI’s national Institutes of Directors in the area of Board Education. The readers will realize that these institutes offer expensive board education programs which are attended by chairpersons and members of the BoD and CEO‘s of many leading companies.
It is a good idea that national Institute of Directors and BoD Training Institutes are not for profit organizations. Also our Swiss Institute of Directors and our Swiss Board School is one of those. We distinguish between non profit and not for profit organizations. We are a not for profit (tax exempted) organization (profit is not our goal but we make a lot of profit which is used to develop the institute). Non profit means, it is not allowed to make profit.
Best wishes and kind regards,
Martin Hilb
